The airport is located in the Asian part of Istanbul, in the Pendik area. Opened in 2001 to unload the Ataturk Airport, which could not cope with the growing passenger traffic. How to get from Ataturk airport to Sabiha Gokcen airport
1. To get from Ataturk airport to Sabiha Gokcen airport, you can use the Havabas (formerly Hawatash) buses.
First drive to Taksim, and then change to a bus of the same company and drive to Sabiha Gokcen. It will take at least 2.5 hours and 27 lira in time.
2. You can get from Ataturk Airport to Sabiha Gokcen using a combination of transport: metro, tram, ferry, bus.
By metro to Zeytinburnu, by tram to Eminonu, by ferry to Kadikoy, and then from Kadikoy or by city bus E10 or Havabas express to Sabiha Gokcen.
3. After the Marmaray tunnel was dug under the Bosphorus and the metro line of the same name was opened, you can take the M1 metro from Ataturk to Yenikapi, change to Yenikapi station (Marmaray line) and go through the Marmaray tunnel to the Asian side of Istanbul, and then take a bus E10 and drive to Sabiha Gokcen airport.
